How to improve your skills in close-up-photographySince many people asked me how I take my pictures and why they are so "special", I would like to tell you how I manage things when I take pictures.
I. Finding the location
When I go outside to take pictures of nature, I do barely have any concepts in my mind. I just go and let nature inspire me. The first important step is finding a location.It is not that difficult to find an interesting background. I personally do prefer backgrounds which are not monochrome. Many shades of light (light and dark contrasts or different colors) make your picture interesting, no matter if the final result will be monochrome or colorful in the end.I look out for locations where not many people are. Like a big meadow in front of a house or a field or forests. (Forests do have the special plus that it does almost always have different light shadings I mentioned in 2).
II. Know your possibilities!

:confused: I guess in the comment box you are able to write more about your picture, but you want the viewer to be drawn to the title quickly so it should be a title that atracks the viewer.

9 Reasons to LOVE YOUR INK!

1. - Ink can be used for drawing, writing or painting, anything you chose! You can use it with a brush, cartridge pens or drawing nibs, even a goose-quill will do!

2. - Ink can be water-soluble or, unlike watercolor, waterproof. Once dried out, it stays where you left it, it doesn't run away from you!

3. - Ink can be watered down and used as washes, just like watercolor, but it can be used at full strength, achieving more consistent results!

4. - Ink, when dried on paper, results in a very appealing velvety surface.

5. - Ink is in many cases a lot cheaper than watercolor, even school quality (very cheap) inks bring lovely and very satisfactory results.

6. - Inks are colorful! Forget the black ink, you will be able to buy whole variety of colored inks. Also, you can mix them together to create many more colors & hues!

7. - White ink is a perfect assistant in many other techniques, use it to create highlights and special effects!

8. - Ink does not stink! Yet, avoid staining your clothes, you might have troubles getting rid of them...

9. - Available acrylic ink can be even used on canvas!

Appearently, blog entries of groups can't be submitted into other groups galleries, only can be put in their favorites. We should figure out another way how to share these entries..

maybe writing the entry on a user's personal profile page and then submitting it into the group would work, you can submit journal entries to as much groups as you like this way. :)
